THE PERSON
I am Giselle Koy. Interior designer, sculptor, lifelong maker. The medium keeps changing. The act is always the same.

I have been creating my whole life. The medium keeps changing. Metal into jewelry, fabric into fashion, raw spaces into something that makes you stop in the doorway. The act is always the same: seeing what something could become.

I studied sculpture at the University of Texas and design at Marangoni in Milan. I know textiles and the velvet houses they came from in Italy. I know the names of Turkish carpet patterns and glass from Murano. I know typefaces, cattle brands, and the history of landscapes throughout Europe. All of that lives in every room I design, even if you never see it. You feel it.

I was invited to select Pantone's colors of the year. I have worked across four countries. I have published six books. But the thing that matters most to me is the question I ask every person I work with:

What is your heart's desire for your space?
Because the answer to that question is where everything begins.
